Dogpop proves the Noise and Power Electronics scene to be very open minded!. Dogpop is a fusion of two bands such as ‘Anenezphalia’ and ‘Thorofon’ who recycled their old recorded ideas (1995 – 2003) to release them on an LP format. The result of this action is great. The sound is a fusion of minimal electro. A bizarre combination of glitches, drum machine, loops/samples, synthesizers and vocals. ‘Augen’ could easily be danced at the “Nag nag nag club” in London as it could definitely be categorised as “Electroclash”. Each song has a solid structure with a variety of diverse unexpected experimental sounds. The listening is quite entertaining and doesn’t bore. The hope is to see more release from this band soon!
